Rooms can be protected from overheating with the use of external accessories such as awning blinds or roller shutters which give better protection than internal accessories.

External blinds and shutters stop the sun's rays from reaching the glass reducing the heat flow and help prevent the room from overheating. Internal accessories also offer protection from the heat but to a lesser degree. Their main function is to provide privacy, decorate the space and regulate the amount of light entering the room.

We do not state the colour in which we believe it looks like due to everyone's perception. The colour swatches are a representation of a FAKRO blind but blind swatch folders are available if in doubt.

The AJP venetian blind protects a room against overheating; its slats can be adjusted to customise the amount of light entering your home. This blind is available in a variety of colours, so it can be used to compliment a room and enhance interior design. Privacy can also be achieved without a significant reduction of natural light.

The ARF blackout blind achieves a complete blackout effect. Made of an elegant and decorative fabric, it comes with side guides allowing the blind to be stopped in any position and ensures shading of the room. This blind achieves complete privacy when closed all the way. The material limits incoming light, reduces excessive heat in summer and prevents heat loss in winter.

The APS pleated blind provides a diffused lighting effect, in addition to partial protection against heat gain. Due to its side guides, it can be locked into any desired position and is easily operated by means of both an upper and lower bar. Overall, it is a decorative sun screening device to enhance any interior design.

The ARP dimming roller blind is primarily used to reduce light entering a room while enhancing the interior design of a home; there are a range of colours and patterns to choose from. Partial protection against the heat of the sun is provided, in addition to protection against UV radiation. Complete privacy is achieved when this blind is closed.

Dimming roller blinds do not offer complete blackout, only partial.

The APF pleated blackout blind is the ideal sun screening device for use in contemporary interiors, it reduces incoming light while also providing partial protection against heat gain. Additionally, it can be locked in any position thanks to the side guides. This blind achieves complete privacy and comes in several different colours.

For pitched roof window windows and their blinds, you will need a ZST Telescopic Control Pole.

For flat roof windows and their blinds, you will need a ZSD Universal Telescopic Control Rod. Please be advised that manual flat roof windows do come with a ZSD Pole.

PTP and PPP roof windows are made from a white multi-chamber PVC finish with galvanised steel profiles within the chamber to strengthen the fixings. As the internal frame is made from PVC there could be a cause of concern as to whether or not blinds are suitable for these windows - well they absolutely are!

The installation process will require screwing the fixings into the white frame to secure the chosen blind.
